Punkin'
Punkin' is the resident rat terrier, she's rather like a cat, which is
why I suppose of the dogs left living, she is my favorite.
She's sneaky&devious, she likes to steal your place to sit if you
get up for a moment and then looks at you with what can only
be described as a "sly grin", likes to take the other dogs toys and
hide 'em,..like a cat she slinks around and is very possesive of
"her people",but very dignified and tries to seem indifferent and superior the other dogs...I just Luv her! ;)

Buddy (Pictured below)
Buddy"Bud","Budster", Is half Chihuahua, half Beagle..heh strange combination I know, but we rescued him from a litter of ill-fated puppies that no one wanted and he's just adorable. He has a real sweet temperment and loves to take rides in the car to get donuts(the women at the Donut Bank coo over him and give him free glazed donuts to chomp on the way home ;) Here he's in his special little chair attached to his favorite chair. |
Duh-Duh
Duh-Duh, well he's...well no one really knows ,what he is, only that
he's very mentally challenged. He was found by Lauriel more than
half dead, who took him in out of pity(oh curse the day!), and he'd
been starved so long he was mostly just a skeleton of a dog which
was quite scary lookin', and it apparently affected his brain, because
he's honestly the dumbest dog I've ever come in contact with. He just
sits around all day with a crazed/glazed look in his eyes(that you
can see in this picture, though it's not the camera or light
...his eyes really always glow empty like that! (*shiver). Lauriel said
it's because
the lack of food when he was starving to death affected his vision and
he's probably almost blind)Anyway, he's
loved by everyone else, loathed by me...he's constanty underfoot
when you try to walk and too stupid to move, so you step on him
and he squeals this hideously high pitched sound,ugh..and he's
constantly whinning for any scrap of the food you're eating(like he's
still starving) although he's gettin' quite plump nowdays.
That pretty much sums him up...he's a nuisance and I can't stand him,lol.

Goober (Pictured below)
Goober is the brain of the dogs, he's a super-smart Border Collie that(unlike the other dogs), stays outside. He doesn't seem to mind much, unless it storms. He gets a little freaked out by them and tries to rush the door and get in,hee...but other than that, he seems content to remain outside and faithfully guard the house. He's extremely wary of strangers and fiercely keeps watch over his yard...mailmen and salesmen beware!..not to mention harmless guests, heh. His story is a little like Duh-Duh's but only in that we got him out of tragedy. He was found on the rode hit by a car, nearly dead...fortunately though, unlike The Duh, his brain remained unaffected and he recovered nicely over time. He has a certain "wise" look and his eyes are clear and intelligent, filled with comprehension and understanding when you speak to him...unlike the completely glazed look of *cough* some dog I know. ;) All in all, I really like this dog a lot and feel more secure knowing he's there to protect us. :) |
